Sorry and Update
Sorry I missed a day posting. Not really off to a great start am I :(
Anyway, here's what happened since then:
Work is going well. We're still in the planning phases for the next release and I'm working more on the process we're taking to development than what we'll actually be doing. Lots of vacations are increasing my work load though. This week my QA counterpart was out and next week I'll be sans manager and PM and my QA buddy doesn't get back until Wednesday. Good times!
On the plus side one of the new PMs that just joined is an agile head just like me. It'll be good to have more pull on this around the team. My goal is to get the leg work done this week and start rolling it out to teams next week. I'm going for the hard sell on my team but using more of a light touch when it comes to dealing with Compiler and Data. It's more than just a bid to increase my visibility on the team, I really want to improve the way we do things so life is better here.
On the personal front I'm still settling in to my new guild with Mogoran. I think the big thing we need to understand is that hardcore or casual, the end game of WoW is all about discipline. Show up on time, have the right tools and execute your job. When we get rolling we kick some ass but it takes us two hours to get started and that's killer. I plan on putting together a post on our raid forums about how to take it up a notch and hopefully people will listen. We did manage to drop a boss in AQ20 last night. No loot for me there but the 2nd encounter was more kind. You fight a series of Quiraj captains and their minions in waves with the help of 5 Cenarion Circle NPCs. Even though we wiped on the 3rd or 4th wave, the 2nd captain dropped some phat lootz: [Gavel of Qiraji Authority] and I won the roll. This thing looks hot. I'll take a screenie and post it later.
My warlock is also going well. I plan on putting a lot of my time into getting her caught up to Karen's hunter this weekend. I'm level 41.5 now and I think that 43 isn't too far to stretch for Saturday and Sunday. The big time sink out of this is going to be planning for my game on Sunday (and running it of course) as well as finding time to hit the gym. I'll try to work out a schedule tonight after my raid that will let me get all of this done.
Well that's what's going on with me. I'll let you know how the raid goes tonight.

First day of new plan
So I'm trying to get organized and take control over parts of my life I've felt I've had a hard time controlling in the past. The goal of this blog is to help meet one of my goals: Enjoy my friends and family.
I'm not the best person at keeping in touch with those that I'm far away from. I don't call that often, I don't write letters, and I don't even email that much. Hopefully by creating this blog I can try and change that. I want the readers here to be able to know what's going on with me on a day to day basis. That's why I called it "daily." My goal is to set aside some time every day to talk about what's going on with me so that those I care about can see what I'm up to.
Let's get started!
Today was a bit of a mad dash. Karen's getting home tonight and I wanted to make sure that the house was ready for her arrival. I cleaned the kitchen a bit, rearranged some stuff in the bedroom, cleaned up after the kitties, etc. I also had to take the Big Man to the vet. He's getting his teeth cleaned in a few weeks and they needed to do blood work on him since the procedure puts him out. I have to get a fecal sample as well so that'll be fun :)
Work was it's usual meeting-filled day but I 'm looking forward to a rather empty calendar this week. It should give me some time to complete some work that I've been putting off regarding changes to our daily process. I'll post later about what that's all about but now I gotta run. Karen's plane gets here in 2 hours and I have to drive in rush hour traffic to get to her.
I hope I can keep this up :)
